Combine pink with white for the classic romantic design. Place a white fan vase into the center of the table and add plant foam inside. Place pink and white roses into the vase as you alternate the colors for a pleasing display. Sprinkle in some greenery and baby's breath. Wrap small boxes in white, before adding pale pink ribbons to the sides and making a bow. Rest some along the base of the vase, while other lies flat on the table. Place a horse-drawn carriage frame on top holding a picture of the couple.
Go graphic with a hot pink and black design. Pick a black container flashing pink squares, polka dots or waves as their design. Insert the plant foam inside and arrange pink anemones which contain a black center into the container. Design a horizontal display with the flowers where the height decreases as you build to the other side. Place pictures of the couple in graphic frames with black marble-shaped items, such as squares, rectangular or round balls around the display to complete the graphic look.

Fall is a great time for a wedding. The cold weather usually hasn't set in yet, but spring and summer weddings have long passed, which means churches, reception halls and wedding supplies are plentiful. When it comes to decor of your reception venue, making your own fall wedding centerpieces can be a real budget saver. Moreover, this is a project that can be completed in advance of the final preparations of your special day.
Finishing with a Flourish
Finish your fall wedding candle centerpiece with a base of fall leaves beneath them. Collect them from outdoors or purchase silk leaves from your local craft store. Another option is to create large confetti pieces out of fall colored scrapbooking paper. Purchase a large craft punch and get to work. The shape of the confetti could be leaves, but why not hearts or just circles. Scatter the confetti on the tables, beneath the fall wedding centerpiece.

Purple Wedding Centerpiece Ideas
Wedding centerpieces range from elegant to funky and simple to complex. Many traditional centerpieces make use of flowers and light, especially candlelight, but you can also work these elements into modern centerpieces as well. Centerpieces using flowers and candles also allow for a great variation in color choice. A bride and groom searching for the perfect purple centerpiece may wish to consider these elements as a result.
Create a double floral centerpiece by pairing two contrasting arrangements. Use either varying heights, silhouettes, or hues of purple. A tall, skinny, simple arrangement of lavender or single-hue purple rosebuds creates an elegant and subtle contrast against a shorter, round arrangement filled with various types of flowers in light, medium and dark shades of purples.
Edible centerpieces double as fun, unique decorations as well as wedding favors your guests will love. Decorate a platter of cupcakes or other small desserts with purple icing, purple wrappers, or purple sprinkles. Alternatively, scatter various candies, like pastel lavender mints or chocolates wrapped in purple foil, among larger edible or non-edible centerpiece elements.

Yellow Wedding Reception Ideas
It is possible to arrange a monochromatic all yellow wedding reception, but it would not have much impact and could be considered boring. However, by adding an accent color, such as the hint of green or a vivid blue, you bring immediate visual interest and depth into the room. Design your wedding reception with a combination of flowers and decorations in yellow and the accent colors to give a fresh, airy appearance.
Accent Color
Select the shade and intensity of the yellow for your design before you select the accent colors. A bright yellow works well with lime green as they are both intense colors and the combination comes off as fresh and airy. Or, blend a pale yellow with a soft white to indicate romance and create soft lines, while a royal purple or vibrant blue mixed with yellow create other options for your color scheme. Rather than a black metallic accent, which may bring up images of a bumble bee, choose a chocolate brown or bronze for your metal accent color.
Showcase a variety of different yellow flowers in your centerpiece. A collection of daisies mixed with yellow roses create a playful effect, while plumerias and yellow lilies scream exotic. You can also mix the flower color to the accent color as you combine purple irises with yellow tulips or hydrangeas with yellow carnations or gardenias with yellow daffodils. Carry the yellow color through to the bottom of a clear vase as you add yellow-toned cut glass beads, yellow tinted plant gel or colored marbles.

Flowers are traditionally part of wedding centerpieces, and it's easy to find flowers in most wedding colors. Green is the exception. Hydrangeas are some of the few flowers that are actually green. They come in many shades and colors, from pink to green. Since they are rather large and round, a few hydrangeas in a vase can make a simple centerpiece. Or they can be combined with ferns and greenery to make a fuller centerpiece.
Many houseplants are easy to start and grow and provide plenty of green for a centerpiece. Vining plants, like ivies and philodendron, can be spaced down the table and the vines trailed between them. Twinkle lights or votive candles can add a light element. Combining several types of houseplants can make a visually appealing centerpiece. These centerpieces could also be used as gifts. The choice of pots for the plants could reflect the theme of the wedding.
Greenery doesn't have to be just for Christmas. Evergreen boughs make a quick, easy and inexpensive centerpiece. The feel of the centerpiece is determined by the type of greenery used. Try using atriplex, cedar, arborvitae and white pine for a variety of colors and textures, or just use whatever you have access to. Martha Stewart suggests using lots of greenery and keeping the branches hidden in the container you are placing the arrangement in. Evergreen boughs don't have to be placed in water, so that expands your options for containers to include things like baskets.

Blue and Purple Wedding Decorating Ideas
Purple and blue flowers are abundant in spring, summer, winter and fall. Many flowers can be combined to give your wedding a beautiful purple and blue feel. A purple flower represents mystery, dignity, creativity, royalty and wisdom. A blue flower signifies truth, loyalty, trust and sincerity. Together, these colors can create a feeling of romance and tranquility. Both color flowers come in various shades from light to dark. Combine a light purple flower with a dark blue flower for dramatic effect.
Whether you are wed in a church, a hotel or on a beach, incorporate your blue and purple color theme in your ceremony. Use a purple or blue aisle runner instead of a traditional white one. Decorate your guest chairs with purple and blue flower bouquets, or use blue and purple ribbon and wedding bells. Cover the chairs in blue chair covers and set a purple flower on each chair. Use a blue satin pillow for your ring bearer to carry, and have a young bridesmaid throw purple and blue flower petals from a purple basket as she walks down the aisle.
